Green Bay Botanical Garden Wedding Photography of Katie and Andrew
Winter weddings can be interesting. It can be bitterly cold to the point that all outdoor pictures are uncomfortable or it can be pretty decent. This was one of those wedding days that was just about right. Katie and Andrew held their wedding at the Green Bay Botanical Garden. I've been there many times during the summer and fall for weddings and engagements. I was excited for the chance to photograph a wedding there in the winter. They timed their ceremony to finish up at just about the right time for the sweet winter sunset light. We kept it pretty close to the visitors center so warmth was just a minute or two away. We were able to do many great portraits of the bride and groom before the sun went down. The Gardens has many locations including a nice vine covered arch. We used that a bunch before heading down a couple paths to shoot in the snow and have trees in the backgrounds. After the lovely portraits I photographed a couple family photos before heading up to the reception for dinner, a couple speeches and some great dancing.
